About

Aline Robbins

Counsellor in Hamilton

Hello! My name is Aline Robbins, I'm an Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist and a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

I currently run my private practice in South Lanarkshire, offering sessions online via Zoom and face-to-face, depending on the client's preference. I also worked with a Charity that provides affordable counselling in East Kilbride, seeing clients in person.

My integrative approach to counselling is rooted in a pluralistic integration model as my way of working collaboratively with you and offering shared decision-making. It allows me to draw from person-centred, existential psychotherapy, reality therapy, psychodynamic, gestalt and cognitive behaviour therapy (CBT) embracing perspectives and practices, building on their strengths, and providing the best routes for your individual needs.

Additional models that inform my practice are client therapy feedback, trauma and neuroscience psychoeducation, mindfulness, attachment styles, narrative and use of creative interventions during the course of therapy.

I see every client as a person of worth, in need of support and understanding to heal and move forward from their difficulty. It is very important to me that my clients feel respected, heard, understood, and validated.

I believe therapy changes lives for the better, no matter what your background, life experience, or walk of life ...  why not try it out.
